What you’ll
work on
Partner drilling
Learn a combination, then drill it back and forth with a partner. Stance, footwork and defense come first.
Mitt work
Rounds on the mitts to sharpen timing and accuracy and teach you to put punches together.
Heavy bags
Bag rounds that build power and conditioning, and the confidence to let your hands go.
Sparring drills
Controlled, coached drills where you practice hitting and not getting hit, at your own pace.
Each class mixes these, so you won’t always do all four in one night. Times can change for holidays and events. See the live schedule.
Your first
boxing class
Glove up
Borrow a pair of gloves and a coach will show you how to stand, move and throw a basic jab and cross.
Drill with a partner
Drill the night’s techniques with a partner and go at your own pace.
Meet the team
Stick around after class to ask Coach Joee anything. Everyone on the mat started where you are.
Your
coach
Coach Joee runs the boxing program and every boxing class. He’s a BANG Muay Thai black belt who also coaches our Lil Ninjas and cardio classes. Expect clear, step-by-step coaching from your first round.

Boxing questions
No. Most people start with none, and every boxing class is open to beginners.
Just workout clothes and water. If you decide to spar later on, you’ll need a mouthguard.
No. We spar sometimes, and only with those who want to.
Boxing is punches only, with more time on footwork, head movement and hand speed. BANG Muay Thai combines boxing with kicks, knees and elbows from Muay Thai and Dutch kickboxing.
